Once upon a time, in a beautiful kingdom there lived three daughters. Jewel, the oldest, Sarah, the middle and Aubrey the youngest. Their father was King of Utopia, the richest kingdom in the all land. He gave them everything their little hearts desired. Jewels, gold, dresses and animals. They never wanted for anything.
The King is a rather old man seeing that his oldest daughter Jewel is twenty seven years old, and one day he thought about who was going to take over the Kingdom when he was gone. Since all of this three daughters are not married, one of them must take over. He decided to determine who would win over the Kingdom by asking each of his beloved daughters how much each daughter loved him and the one who loved him the most, got to rule the Kingdom
The next day, The King rushes his daughters into the dining hall and said "I must give one of you this Kingdom someday, whoever loves me the most will rule." Jewel tells her father that she loves him more than all the gold and rubies in the land. Sarah tells him that she loves him more than most powerful army in the kingdom. Aubrey tells her father that she loves him more than all the animals in all the Kingdom. The King was outraged by his youngest daughters response, so much so that he kicked her out of the Kingdom despite her young age of sixteen.
Aubrey was devastated by her father's reaction and was alone and scared in the forest. She wondered the forest for a while, hungry, crying and wishing she were back in her own room. After a few hours, Aubrey found a some-what cozy spot near a tree to take shelter in for the night.
Suddenly, in the middle of the night, she heard a loud thud and became frightened. She asked who was there and it was a boy about her age. "What is your name?" she asked him. "Prince Henry from the neighboring Kingdom, Oak. Aubrey had heard of this Kingdom before, her father made her swear that she would never be in contact with any of its people because it was their biggest rival, but her father had just thrown her out. She was free to interact with who ever she pleased. "And I am Princ.. uh I mean I'm Aubrey." He smiled at her. He took a notice that where she lay, all sorts of animals surrounded her, like a magnet. But he did not ask why.
As the days went on, he came to visit her frequently, helping her build a small cabin in the woods and hunt for food. He wants to invite her to the castle, but doesn't know if his father would let him marry her because she is not royalty. Or so he thinks.
He decides that he loves her so much that he does not care if his father approves of her non-royal status. He invites her to come to the castle with him and she happily agrees.
At dinner, Henry's father asks Aubrey where she is from and she decides that now would be the time to be truthful. She tells him that her father, King of Utopia, kicked her out because she told him she loved him more than all the animals in the land. She told him this because she loves animals much like her mother did. Her mother had a special power that only Aubrey knew about because she shared that power with her, the power to speak to and heal animals. Anytime an animal was hurt, they would come to Aubrey and be immediately healed and loved. The animals felt the pain she felt.
Upon hearing this, Henry's father was enraged at Aubrey's father's selfishness and declared war on the Kingdom of Utopia. He also gave permission for Aubrey and Henry to marry so they did.
The Kingdom of Utopia lost to the Kingdom of Oak which means that Aubrey's father had lost everything and his other two daughters, Jewel and Sarah, see that their father was now a very poor man and decide that he is now worth nothing to him.
Aubrey's father, desperate for a job and not knowing that his daughter has become Princess of Oak, comes to beg the King for a servant job. When he realizes that his youngest daughter Aubrey sits on a throne, draped in beautiful gold and flowers, surrounded by all sorts of creatures, he's shocked. Aubrey refuses her fathers plea to become a servant saying "Your wife and my mother had the gift of healing and speaking to animals and I was your only daughter who inherited her gift. When you kicked me out because I said I loved you more than all the animals in the Kingdom, it showed me that all you cared about was your precious kingdom and your wealth. Your wish to be a servant is too much, Learn to survive like your young daughter before you. Please, leave my kingdom."
The once powerful King walked out of his daughters Kingdom, never to be seen again.
